Equipment for snowshoe outings
Snowshoes
Snowshoes have a very solid plastic frame, a binding and spikes or crampons distributed under the frame for walking on hard or frozen snow.
The equipment I offer:
- I’ve been working with the TSL brand for years. TSL is the leading French brand of snowshoes and has been for decades. Their equipment is of excellent quality and allows us to progress safely!
Other equipment required
-
Snowshoeing is a specific activity that requires quality equipment. It is a matter of your comfort and safety. It is necessary to have very good walking shoes: warm, waterproof, ankle-high, and relatively stiff. In order to hike in good conditions, I encourage you to rent a suitable pair of shoes at the Mountain Pro Shop (the meeting point for our outings). Feel free to arrive early or rent your shoes the evening before for the next day! Comfort and technical performance guaranteed.
- A pair of telescopic poles supplied by me!
- Snowshoes also provided .
- A pair of gaiters if you have them (don’t buy)
- The usual winter hiking equipment (rucksack, change of clothes, sunglasses, sun cream, binoculars, etc.). Dress in flexible clothing so that you can take off and put on layers as you walk. If you’re warm on the way up, cover up on the way down.
